“No ads, no hosts, no sponsors—just games.” That’s the Triple-i Initiative’s straightforward approach to its annual showcase, spotlighting titles developed by studios ranging from solo creators to small, passionate teams. Once again, the event delivered an exciting lineup of reveals and updates without unnecessary fluff.
Last year’s showcase introduced hits like Norland, Slay the Spire 2, and The Rogue Prince of Persia, alongside updates for Darkest Dungeon 2, Palworld, and Vampire Survivors. This year brought fresh looks at Deep Rock Galactic spinoffs, the mind-bending survival game The Alters, the strategic evolution of Endless Legend 2, and more.
Here are five standout highlights from the showcase, along with a few other notable announcements. While the full list isn’t yet on Triple-i’s site, these were the most intriguing reveals from the event.
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core
Ghost Ship Games showcased two Deep Rock Galactic spinoffs, one with actual gameplay footage. DRG: Rogue Core, a roguelike shooter set in the same dwarven mining universe, debuted a new trailer and announced a closed alpha test (sign-ups available on Steam). Meanwhile, DRG: Survivor, a top-tier entry in the “Survivor-like” genre, is set to launch in full on September 17, with new biomes, upgrades, and chaotic run variations.
Endless Legend 2
The sequel to the beloved 4X strategy game is entering early access this summer, introducing new factions, disasters, and deeper strategic layers. Fans can sign up for early access via Amplitude Studios’ Insider Program.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era
After a decade-long hiatus for the classic turn-based series, Olden Era takes players to the unexplored continent of Jadame. Expect clashes between woodland spirits and medieval armies, undead rising mid-battle, and demonic forces stirring chaos. A playtest is available now on Steam, with early access planned for Q2 2025.
The Alters
This enigmatic survival-strategy game from 11bit Studios (Frostpunk, This War of Mine) tasks players with cloning alternate versions of themselves to survive a perilous space mission. The trailer blends deep decision-making, psychological tension, and stunning third-person exploration. Mark your calendars for June 13, 2025.
